our very own special arrival

Two weeks ago we welcomed our own baby girl, Lucy Jean, to the world.  It was an amazing day, a quick  and wonderful experience, and a joyful moment for our entire family.  At 2:03 on July 26th we became a family of four.  I must thank my friends and family for being there for all of us, for helping out, bringing food and gifts, as it is moments like these when we realize who our support circle is and how much we love and appreciate them.  I also want to thank Lulabell Photography for capturing such memorable images throughout the birth, and Aedan Studio for bearing six hours with us for the newborn session.  I will forever be thankful for both of these 'photographer-friends', as I obviously couldn't have done it myself!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Keeping up with the Jones' {portland maternity photography}

We are still keeping up with the Jones's!  And they are about to become a family of four.  You might remember my first maternity session with Shana not quite two years ago.  Out came Memphis a couple of weeks later and we captured him as a newborn...  Then again, an adorable family session at six months old, and a fun, fabulous session when Memphis turned the big ONE.  I can't wait to meet Memphis' little brother!  Stay tuned!

A Day in the Life {family session preview}

A few months ago my sister-in-law asked me to join her at her parents' property for a family session. Well, when you put over eight people together, including ages 2 years to 82 years old, perfectly-posed portraiture tends to go out the window and is replaced with timeless, playful candids depicting their lives, their loves.  Join me as we peek into a day in the life of my niece Addie at 'Grammie and Googlely's'.
